“Print Dive” Question

Post by cmcdarris » Sun Jun 21, 2020 6:01 am

I keep both computer and paper logbooks. When I am in DiveLog on my iPad or iPhone and I hit “Print Log” it creates a 2 page pdf document. Is there anyway to make this a 1 page pdf?

The print layout is driven by the paper size for the currently selected printer. If you don't have a printer selected the AirPrint software (we have no control, over this) picks a generic paper size which has some big margins that tend to force the logbook to multiple pages. If you have an AirPrint printer on your network that you can select, the chances are good that the paper size will be set to one that will result in a single page printout (most pages will print at 8.5x11 or A4 on a single page unless you have very long comments). Then when you use the "PDF trick" (i.e. pinch out on the preview) it will use the selected paper size.

If you don't have an AirPrint printer that you can select let me know and I'll look for some other options to help you get a single page result.
