A customer recently pointed out this "new" IrDA USB dongle on Amazon. It says specifically what chipset it uses and it's the same chipset that the official ScubaPro/UWatec uses. We've now tested this one out and it works great with Dive Log Manager/Dive Log DT to download your UWatec dive computers.

It certainly wasn't on Amazon in the past but is now and we can confirm that it works. And it's about 70% less expensive. Can't beat that.
This is of course on the USA version of the Amazon store. We'll keep looking for this one on an international store as well but if anyone finds it, please post here for everyone else.
Cheers,
Janice

Here is a link to another unit from Amazon that we have tested and know works:

Again, if you have links to 3rd party units that you know work and are available internationally, please feel free to post links to them here.
Thanks,
Janice

And Gearmo tells me that this one is exactly the same:

And it's $5USD cheaper right now. Go figure.

For international customers (especially Australia), these seem to be getting harder to find and my one source has been "out of stock" for awhile. I contacted Gearmo and they said they will ship internationally. I don't know what their shipping fee's are, but it would be worthwhile to check. Here's a link to their webpage for ordering information:

Also, this company will receive your (Amazon) USA based orders and forward them onto you. We haven't used them ourselves, but have friends that have.

If you have any other links for other international customers, please post to this thread!
