Route planning from Dive Site Info

Post by joebar66 » Mon Jul 01, 2019 12:57 am

Via the Dive Site Info I can start the route planning software apps TomTom and Maps. Is it possible to manually add other route planning apps like Here or CoPilot?

No, unfortunately the list of supported apps needs to be built into Dive Log (this is, at least partly, due to restrictions that Apple places on launching external apps). Right now we support TomTom, Navigon, Maps and Google Maps depending on which apps you have installed on your iPhone/iPad. I will look into adding CoPilot as well. I've to looked into which API's CoPilot supports so I'm not sure if it is even possible.

One thing you can do in the meantime is use the Copy/Paste feature in Dive Log to grab the GPS coordinates of the site (long press on the "coordinates" row in the Dive Site or open the site and tap the Copy button) and then Paste the coordinate into your app of choice (assuming of course that it supports Copy/Paste) to generate the route. This is effective what the "navigate to" feature of Dive Log is doing.
